Year 4 Paraliturgy and Graduation Ceremony

Year 4OP Josephians marked their graduation under the theme 'Illuminate, Embracing Hope'.
The Year 4OP Paraliturgy and Graduation Ceremony were reflective and celebratory events, marking a significant milestone for Josephians.
The Paraliturgy offered a moment for the Year 4 cohort to reflect on their journey over the past four years, filled with personal growth and shared experiences with friends and teachers. Josephians expressed gratitude to their teachers for their guidance and to friends for their support. A touching highlight was the reading of letters from parents, filled with love and pride, which deeply resonated with students. The expressive atmosphere was heightened as students also wrote notes of encouragement to their peers, fostering a sense of unity, warmth and gratitude.
Following this reflective event, the Year 4OP Graduation Ceremony, graced by Guest-of-Honour Mr Azfer Khan (Creator & Content Governance for TikTok Shop, and alumnus Class of 2011) celebrated the students’ achievements. The theme, "Illuminate, Embracing Hope", resonated throughout the event, encouraging students to be beacons of light in the world and to carry forward the lessons learned at SJI with hope and optimism for the future.
During the ceremony, parents read letters of thanks and gratitude that their sons had written for them. Many parents were touched, and tears marked the covers of the graduation brochures that the parents were holding onto.
In the speeches that followed, the Guest-of-Honour, Mr. Azfer Khan, Principal Mr. Justin Pierre, and several students reflected on the theme of the ceremony, sharing stories of resilience, compassion, and the sense of responsibility they felt to contribute to society. They spoke about how the challenges faced throughout the years had helped shape them into young men ready to embrace the next phase of their lives with hope and optimism. As each student received their graduation certificate, the atmosphere was filled with pride, recognising both academic and personal growth.
Together, the Paraliturgy and Graduation Ceremony symbolised for our young Josephians the end of one chapter and the bright promise of the next.
