𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 (𝐒𝐒𝐒𝐂) 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬𝐛𝐨𝐲 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝

Heartiest congratulations to Justin Kai-Yi Lie who was conferred the Singapore Schools Sports Council (SSSC) Best Sportsboy Award for Tennis.

One of the highest sporting honours presented by the SSSC, the award recognises the overall best male and female student-athletes across the 28 sports and games sanctioned by the Council. Beyond sporting excellence and outstanding achievements in local and international competitions, recipients are also recognised for demonstrating exemplary character. 

Justin received the prestigious award from Guest-of-Honour, Ms Joan Poh Xue Hua, national Olympian rower, at the SSSC Colours Award Ceremony on 25 September 2026. The ceremony also marked the close of the 2026 National School Games season.

Justin has distinguished himself both on the national and international tennis stage. He has competed actively in Asian Tennis Federation tournaments and represented Singapore at the 2026 Junior Davis Cup in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Competing from 23 to 28 March, Justin won four of his five singles matches and played an instrumental role in helping Singapore reach the quarter-finals and finish sixth among 15 participating countries.

Closer to home, Justin was equally outstanding in SJI’s 2026 National School Games Tennis campaign. He won every match he played, from the preliminary rounds through to the final, demonstrating remarkable composure, consistency and resilience under pressure. His performances contributed significantly to SJI successfully defending its B Division Tennis Championship title.

Justin’s achievements reflect not only his talent, but also the determination, discipline and commitment required to excel at the highest level. Through it all, he has taken immense pride in representing both SJI and Singapore.
