SJI Year 4 IP Milestone Assembly 2026
22 October 2026
On 22 October 2026, our Year 4 IP Josephians gathered for their Paraliturgy and Milestone Assembly, marking the close of their secondary school journey and the beginning of an exciting new chapter as they prepare to enter Year 5 in 2027.

The morning began with a reflective Paraliturgy, as students gave thanks for the friendships, experiences and blessings of the past four years. It was a meaningful opportunity to appreciate those who had supported them along the way and to look ahead with renewed hope and purpose.
Vice-Principal Mr Nicholas Tsao shared three guiding words for the journey ahead: success, mindset and service.
He encouraged students to look beyond academic achievements, celebrate one another’s growth and measure success by the positive difference they make in others’ lives, citing Josephian Mr Gerard Ee’s commitment to public service. He also reminded them to have faith — in themselves, one another and their community.
Director of Student Development Mr Bernard Low reminded students that they were halfway through their six-year Josephian journey, with Years 3 and 4 laying the foundation for Operation IB. Drawing on Angela Duckworth's research on grit, he emphasised the importance of perseverance, consistency and the discipline to press on even when the going gets tough. "Where you start doesn't decide where you finish," he affirmed, leaving students with three reminders: work hard, keep your people close, and inspire through service.
Representing the cohort, Level Representative Dominic Wong (FN401) expressed heartfelt appreciation to the classmates and teachers who had accompanied them on their journey. Reflecting on his experience in FIDEI, he described the Catholic community as "more than just a 2nd CCA, but a family where I have found faith, joy and a sense of belonging". He also celebrated the diversity of personalities and experiences that had enriched their years together.
The chairmen and vice-chairmen of FN401, LE402, ML402, ML403 and MN401 echoed these sentiments, thanking their teachers for their unwavering patience and care, and their classmates for the friendships, laughter, football matches and countless small acts of kindness that made their school years memorable. As ML402 aptly reminded the cohort, "We figure it out together every single time."
The assembly concluded with the presentation of the Signum Fidei prizes and certificates, followed by the School Rally, a fitting celebration of the cohort's achievements, shared experiences and enduring Josephian spirit.
As Operation IB begins, our Year 4 Josephians move forward with gratitude for the journey behind them, confidence in the friendships that sustain them, and a renewed commitment to live out the values of Faith, Service and Community.
Four years of growth, countless memories, and a future filled with promise. The next chapter of their Josephian journey awaits.
