SJI Year 4 Graduation Ceremony 2025 – Journeying with Hope

SJI's Year 4 'O' Level Class of 2025 was celebrated at a 26 September graduation ceremony, addressed by Principal Justin Pierre and GOH Mr Jason Wong of the Yellow Ribbon Project.
On the evening of 26 September 2025, the SJI family gathered in the Founders’ Hall to celebrate the graduation of our Year 4 Josephians in the 'O' Level programme – the Class of 2025. With their ‘O’ Level examinations ahead, this milestone marked both an ending and a beginning: the close of their secondary school years and the start of new journeys filled with hope and purpose.
The ceremony began with prayer and thanksgiving, reminding us of our Lasallian heritage and the values of faith, service, and community that guide every Josephian. Parents, teachers, and students joined in heartfelt prayers of gratitude, affirming the bonds of family, friendship, and brotherhood forged in these four years.
As they step forward into the future with hope, purpose and confidence, our Principal, Mr Justin Pierre encouraged the graduates to look beyond themselves and carry with them the values and spirit that they have cultivated within the walls of SJI, and to live out their calling as “men of integrity and men for others.” Guest-of-Honour, Mr Jason Wong (SJI Class of 1980), founder of the Yellow Ribbon Project and Dads for Life Movement, inspired the community with his life’s example of service and leadership.
One of the evening’s highlights was the presentation of the graduating classes, as each Josephian received his certificate of achievements. The ceremony also honoured recipients of the Lasallian Distinguished Service Award, who exemplified our school’s core values through their dedication and contribution to the school and wider community.
Special recognition was given to Aaron Tan Yi Peng (FN401), who received both the Lasallian Distinguished Service Award and the Brother Liefroy Bajon Student Leadership Scholarship, awarded to an outstanding student leader who has made a significant impact in the life of the school.
As the evening drew to a close, the graduating cohort raised their voices one final time together in singing St Joseph’s Call and the School Rally, pledging to carry forward the Josephian spirit wherever life takes them.
To the Class of 2025: You have journeyed with hope, and now you go forth as Josephians ready to be a light in the world. We are immensely proud of you – may you continue to live by the school motto “Ora et Labora” and bring faith, service, and community into all that you do.
