SJI Triumphant at the Singapore Science and Engineering Fair

A team of 11 Josephians from Year 4 to Year 6 represented the school at the 2024 Singapore Science and Engineering Fair (SSEF). They brought to the table seven projects across a wide range of Science disciplines and fields.

The team comprised (from left in picture): Leedon Yong (MN517), Kieran Tan (FN603), Rahul Senthilkumar (ML612), Quek Yi Ming (MN616), Vorajate Suntratonpipat (MN403), Dinh Nho An (MN616), Putt Sawasmongkol (LE403), Sun Xiaoyan (FN604), Le Trung Kien (FN602) and Agil Singaraselvan (FN604). Ho Hui Lin (FN605) was not in the picture.

SJI walked away with two Special Awards at the event: the SUTD Research and Innovation Award: Artificial Intelligence and the Singapore Association for the Advancement of Science) (SAAS) Special Award - Poster Award for Science Communication. Le Trung Kien (FN602) had worked on a project titled "Machine Learning to Extract Plasma Emission Spectrum Data from Laser Fusion in Metal 3D Printers" conducted at Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC), A*STAR, during his 5-week Research Attachment Programme (RAP) in December 2023.
