SJI Taekwondo Exponents Shine in Tournaments

SJI's team achieved strong results at both the Pesta Sukan Taekwondo Championships and the Taekwondo Grand Slam Youth League, held outside China for the first time.
August was an unforgettable month for our Taekwondo team, as our Josephians competed in two major tournaments, proudly flying the SJI colours.
Pesta Sukan Taekwondo Championships 2025 The annual Pesta Sukan is a cornerstone of Singapore’s sporting calendar, celebrating competition, camaraderie, and community through sport. Our Josephians rose to the occasion with determination and confidence, returning with impressive results:
Isaac Koh (LE301) – Gold (Poomsae)
Anders Yoon (FN101) – Gold (Kyorugi)
Kyler Tan (ML102) – Gold (Kyorugi)
Alexander Tay (ML302) – Bronze (Kyorugi)
Taekwondo Grand Slam Youth League 2025 Our SJI Taekwondo team also competed in the Grand Slam Youth League, held for the first time outside China. This international tournament attracted competitors from across Asia including Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Against such strong regional talent, our Josephians proved their calibre, excelling with outstanding results:
