SJI’s Mr Muhammad Sultan Honoured with Outstanding Youth in Education Award (OYEA) for Shaping Responsible, Resilient Josephians

We are proud to share that SJI’s teacher, Mr Muhammad Sultan was conferred the Outstanding Youth in Education Award (OYEA) on 9 July. He was one of the 7 recipients of the award from over a thousand nominees. This award, co-organised by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the National Youth Council (NYC), with support from the Academy of Singapore Teachers (AST), honours and affirms young educators aged 35 and below for their passion for teaching and for being inspiring role models to their students. These teachers embody youthful idealism, energy, creativity and active engagement, motivating both their students and colleagues through their words and actions.

A skillful teacher, Mr Sultan advocates the effective use of technology in schools, guiding students to utilise digital tools responsibly. His bully-free platform empowers student ambassadors in the school to foster a positive online environment. As the teacher-in-charge of the Canoeing team at SJI, he combines sporting excellence with community service, inspiring students to achieve success both as athletes and compassionate citizens.
