SJI’s Annual Beacon Bake Sale

SJI Beacon held her annual Bake Sale on the 3rd of August 2026, bringing together our SJI community for a meaningful time of fun and food.
The Bake Sale consisted of eight teams of Year 5 bakers, each promoting their own delicious and special baked goods. There were popular and unique ingredients such as caramel apple, pistachio kunafa, earl grey and more, showcasing the students’ creativity and dedication.
A few weeks prior, Beacon organised a Bake Off, pitting 17 groups against each other in a friendly competition to determine the top 8 groups that would advance into the Bake Sale. The competition was judged by Ms Daisy Chia, Mr Wong Chee Choy and Ms Carol Tay, the school’s teachers.
The Bake Sale this year raised funds for the SJI 175th Anniversary while reflecting the Lasallian values of faith, service and community. Through this opportunity, students got hands-on experience into the culinary world, allowing them to discover their talent for baking and entrepreneurship.
