Two Professional Attire and Interview Skills workshops culminated in Formal Day, an annual tradition since 2019 where students practised professional dress and interview etiquette.
Over two Fridays in the month of July, SJI hosted Professional Attire and Interview Skills workshops aimed at preparing our students for the world of work. These interactive sessions which involved tips for success focused on equipping students with essential skills as they gear up for university and scholarship applications.
The workshops provided valuable insights into dressing for success. Students were guided on how to choose appropriate attire that contributes to a positive first impression, presenting themselves as promising young adults ready to take on the challenges of the professional world. They also discussed practical strategies to prepare for and manage an interview.
The two workshops culminated in Formal Day, a SJI tradition that started in 2019. On Formal Day, Josephians applied what they had learned from the earlier workshop and were dressed in their professional attire as they attended lessons. Beyond receiving feedback from the workshop facilitator and teachers about their professional outlook, they also had lots of fun taking photographs with their friends and teachers.
Josephians gained a better understanding of how to navigate the workplace with poise and professionalism. Our future professionals are ready to step forward and to serve..
