SJI Beacon’s Annual Carwash Raises Funds for Children in Need

Beacon’s Splash for Impact 2025 was a meaningful and exciting initiative that served as a heartfelt reminder to students of the true spirit of service and community. Held on 1st August, Beacon’s annual carwash event; Splash for Impact returned for its third consecutive year. United by a shared sense of purpose, our student carwashers stayed committed and persevered in the heat, working diligently to wash and detail each car to ensure every driver left satisfied. In tandem with the carwash, a donation campaign was launched. All proceeds from carwash services and public contributions were raised for our beneficiary, Arc Children’s Centre, to help improve the lives and health of young children battling cancer and terminal illnesses.

We are pleased to share that the campaign ultimately raised $3,040, surpassing our original target fivefold. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the SJI staff, student volunteers, parents, non-SJI drivers, and all the individual donors whose generosity and unwavering support made this campaign a resounding success.

Beyond the objective of raising funds, Splash for Impact reflected our students’ dedication -- their willingness to give their time, energy and heartless efforts to make a difference in the lives of others. While there was laughter, teamwork, and joy, through it all, there was also a shared sense of pride in our collective purpose. More importantly, it reaffirmed the value of tenacity and collaboration in achieving the success of a service initiative.

As Beacon continues its mission to be a guiding light of hope, serving the last, the lost, and the least, may this event remind us that even the smallest acts of kindness can bring comfort and light to those facing life’s toughest battles.
