SJI Annual Track and Field Championships 2025

On 7 August, SJI's four fraternities competed in relays, sprints and field events at Yishun Stadium, culminating in a Fraternity Champion announcement.
On Thursday, 7 August, the Josephian spirit was in full stride as the entire SJI community gathered at Yishun Stadium for the much-anticipated SJI Annual Track and Field Championships, a tradition that continues to inspire camaraderie, sportsmanship and fraternity pride.
The day began with the four Fraternities: Fintan, Michael, Lawrence and Marcian, assembling in a colourful display of banners, cheers and boundless energy. More than just a contest of speed, skill, and endurance, the championships were a celebration of the Lasallian values, bringing together students, staff, alumni and partner schools in a shared passion for sport and unity.
Spectators roared with encouragement as athletes pushed themselves to their limits on the track and field. The relays, sprints, and field events were moments of intense competition, but also of mutual respect and support, a hallmark of the Josephian way.
Off the track, teachers and staff worked tirelessly to ensure the day’s events flowed seamlessly. From marshalling athletes to managing results and safety, their dedication was the quiet backbone of the day’s success.
As the final races concluded and the Fraternity Champion was announced, there was a palpable sense of achievement and joy. The Annual Track and Field Championships once again reminded us that in SJI, we run not just for victory, but for one another.
