Scouts Unite to Build a Safer Community

SJI Pelandok Scouts joined the launch of Youth CERT on 26 October, helping pack 1,000 first-aid kits in a successful Singapore Book of Records attempt for households in need.
The Youth Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) was officially launched by Senior Minister of State, Ms Sim Ann on 26 October 2025.
Youth CERT is a proud partnership between the People’s Association, Girl Guides Singapore and the Singapore Scout Association. It is a platform for young people to step forward, contribute to the community, and put their first aid and emergency preparedness skills into action.
The SJI Pelandok Scouts, together with other scouts, girl guides and other volunteers, were at the event and participated in packing 1000 first aid kits, an attempt to enter the Singapore Book of Records for the most first aid pouches packed within a designated period. The first aid kits will be distributed to households that will benefit from having a first aid kit at home.
It was a successful attempt. We are proud of our scouts for their service to the wider community.
