PRISM Making Strides in Competitions

Two PRISM teams placed at the AEC and CJC business competitions. Read about the AI ideas they pitched.
Our Josephian PRISM team emerged second runner-up in the finals of the AEC 2024 competition (ASCI Entrecon) on 16 May2024. The event was organised by ACSI with participation from many schools like RI, Hwa Chong Institution, ACSI and SAJC. The team comprised Diwana Kong (LE510), Tran Minh Ha (ML514), Jayden Lee (FN505) and Sidharth Subramanyam (ML511).
The final round comprised a Hackathon-style competition, where participants were given 24 hours to prepare a comprehensive solution (slides and video) addressing the inefficiencies and fragmentation in corporate communication, with the goal of significantly improving clarity, efficiency, and collaboration.
The team pitched an idea to create an AI-driven application designed to streamline communication and scale across all major communication platforms such as WhatsApp, Gmail, Telegram, and Microsoft Teams.
Another Josephian PRISM team (team ZENT) participated in the CJC Bizcomp 2024 competition and emerged third, beating teams from ACSI and CJC. The competition was organised by Catholic Junior College to create a business solution that promotes Medical Tourism in Singapore given rising cost and growing regional competition. The SJI team comprised Natasha Tan Kay Yan (LE507), Zavier Choo (MN519), Eve Ang (ML514) and Timothy Lai (MN512).
The team impressed judges with their presentation and business proposition of its one-stop shop AI-driven platform that connects ASEAN medical users to a doctor or medical supervisor in Singapore delivering cost savings.
