Josephians Take the Podium at NSG TKD

Congratulations to our Josephians who participated in the 2024 NSG Taekwondo Championships for clinching a total of 5 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Award.

Poomsae B-Division

• Kaedrin Isaacs (ML301) - Gold Individual Poomsae 3

• Nicholas Koivuaho (MN403) – Gold Individual Poomsae 2

Both our B Division boys performed extremely well to win Gold in their respective events.

Kyrougi U56KG B-Division

• Henry Zhao (LE401) - Gold

Despite a tough field of competitors, Henry Zhao fought his way through the field to win Gold in all his matches!

Poomsae C-Division

• Isaac Koh (FN202) - Gold Individual Poomsae 2

• Isaac Koh (FN202), Darius Lim (FN101), Kinley Ng (MN101) - Bronze Team Poomsae 3

Isaac Koh defended his Individual Poomsae 2 event by securing a Gold for the second year running. In the Team Poomsae 3 event, our C Division trio came together for the first time and took the Bronze. In the C Division Team Category, SJI came in overall 4th place.

Kyrougi U50KG C-Division

• Alexander Tay (LE201) - Gold

• Isaac Koh (FN202) - Silver

In the Kyrougi Finals under 50kg category, it was an all Josephian contest as our 2 boys - Alexander Tay and Isaac Koh fought it out to determine the 1st and 2nd positions respectively.
