Josephians Shine @ Live On Festival 2021 Design Competition

Two Josephians won awards in the Live On Festival design competition on organ donation. Read what their designs express.

Congratulations to Song Min Feng (FN102) and Lin Jiekang (MN402) from our Josephian Arts Programme who emerged as winners in the Live On Festival (LOF) 2021 Design Competition organized by the National Organ Transplant Unit, Ministry of Health.

The LOF celebrates having participants, youths, in particular, express their thoughts on organ donation and transplantation through art and writing. Designed with a perspective to be consonant with the goals of the Ministry of Education Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) curriculum, LOF serves as a platform for exploring values of responsibility, compassion, empathy, and altruism through the delicate and emotive nature of the topic of organ donation and transplantation.

In Min Feng's design (above), he expressed 'In Search of Hope', which refers to the desperation of organ failure patients as they dwell in helplessness, looking for a chance to break free from the chains of their illnesses. He received a Distinction Award.

Jiekang's 'Bridge of Hope' (above) signifies the offer of help from organ donors, reaching out to those in need and bringing them out from their world of uncertainties. He received Merit Award.
