Josephians Shine at SMPF 2025

At the Singapore Mathematics Project Festival, Josephians won a Silver Prize, a Bronze Prize with Excellent Presentation, and 3 Honourable Mentions.
Josephians participated in the Singapore Mathematics Project Festival (SMPF), organised by the Singapore Mathematical Society. SMPF celebrates creativity and innovation in Mathematics through project work, where ideas may be thoroughly explored and carried through. Projects were judged based on four key criteria: mathematical content, creativity and originality, applicability and relevance, and overall presentation. This year, Josephians performed well at the festival, winning 1 Silver Prize, 1 Bronze Prize with Excellent Presentation, and 3 Honourable Mention awards with projects on diverse Mathematical concepts and their applications, demonstrating their dedication and passion for Mathematics and research.
Silver Prize: Dang Anh Quan, Ho Si Phu, Garren Tang and Huynh Anh Tuan with the project “Evaluating the optimal attacking strategy in ‘RISK’ using Markov Chains and Network Centrality”.
Bronze Prize with Excellent Presentation: Thanawutikul Than, Chatlertpipat Kavin, Gerald Panenthe and Pascual Isaac with their project entitled “Determining the Optimal Keyboard for Bahasa Indonesia through Weighting Systems”.
