Josephians Scribe to Victory at the “Script it Right” Chinese Radio Drama Scriptwriting competition

In April, the Chinese Cultural Society submitted three scripts to participate in the “Script it Right” Chinese Radio Drama Scriptwriting competition (“与声剧来”中文广播剧创作比赛).

We are proud to announce that Jaren Oon (ML302) achieved the Outstanding Script Award with the script "谁是老大" ("Who's the Boss"). His script will be broadcast on the Chinese radio station UFM 100.3 from July to August 2024. The script will also be uploaded to the CPCLL website www.cpcll.sg in August.

Wong Yue Yi(ML101) and Ng York Heng (ML101) received the Consolation Award for their script "童年的颜色" ("The Colors of Childhood"). Another Josephian team comprising Gong Zicheng (ML101), Darius Wong (ML101), and Zhang Fenghua (ML101), also attained a Consolation Award with their script "诈骗记" ("The Story of a Scam").

This competition, jointly organised by the CPCLL, Chinese radio station UFM100.3, and Holy Innocents’ High School, aims to promote the learning of the Chinese language in a fun and interactive way. The competition was open to all Secondary, Junior College, Centralised Institute, and Polytechnic students. It drew a total of 664 participants from 62 schools, with 292 entries this year.
