Josephians Make Waves in Sustainable Engineering Challenge

On 17 July, 14 groups of Josephians participated in the Offshore and Sustainable Engineering Challenge (OSEC), previously known as the Marine and Offshore Challenge, at the Ngee Ann Polytechnic. The challenge was to design and build a high-performance watercraft model with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation. Our students rose to the occasion by integrating sustainable materials into their designs, emphasising environmentally friendly practices and resource conservation.

Each team dedicated over three months to meticulously crafting their boats, and their hard work was rightfully recognised with well-deserved awards.

Our Josephians clinched 8 of the 12 awards in this competition:

• Sustainability Quiz Award

• Overall Second Place

• Overall Third Place

• 3 Merit Awards
