Josephians in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) 2024

In August 2024, a total of 125 Josephians from Years 1 to 4 participated in the prestigious Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC), Australia’s longest-running and most renowned mathematics competition for school students.

The AMC, known for its uniquely designed problems crafted by leading educators and academics, challenges students to push their problem-solving abilities to new heights. The competition aims to spark interest in mathematics, promote excellence, and celebrate students who showcase exceptional proficiency in core mathematical skills.

This year, SJI students performed exceptionally well. In the Junior category, 15 Josephians received Distinction Awards. In the Intermediate category, we are proud to celebrate 3 High Distinction and 14 Distinction Award recipients.

The High Distinction awards recipients are:

• Dang Anh Tuan (FN302). He also attained the Best in School award

• Wang Shiyu (FN303)

• Reynard Jamjan (ML302)
