Josephians Excel in the Tamil Language Arena

Our students participated in several Tamil Language competitions over the past month and have done the school proud by clinching several awards. In the “Vegam Vivegam” competition organised by STTU, Tamizha, the Association of Singapore Tamil Writers, the Tamil Language & Cultural Society, and the Abdul Kalam Vision Society our team of Josephians won the Second Prize. The team comprised:

Our Josephian Tamil students have distinguished themselves through commendable performances in various other inter-school and national-level competitions. At the Secondary 5 Cluster Tamil Drama Competition held at SCGS on 15 April, our students were awarded the First Prize. The team comprised:

In the Tamil Research Competition organised by the Annamalai University Alumni Association, our Secondary 2 HTL students placed First. They were invited to present their research at the prize presentation ceremony on 19 April at UPTLC. The team comprised:

• Selvam Prineeth (ML203)

• Kumar Inbaram (LE202)

In the Junior College category, our students achieved Third Place. The team comprised:

• Sathish Sharvesh (LE608)

• Sachin Palaniappan (ML611)

Our Year 2 HTL students secured Second Place in an AI-based e-book creation competition conducted by Alagappa Alumni Institutions in Singapore. The team comprised:

• Malekala Viraaj (LE203)

• Kumar Inbaram (LE202)

• Danishanth Jude Roshanth (LE203)

These accomplishments underscore our students’ commitment, academic rigour, and enthusiasm for the Tamil Language. Their success continues to bring honour and recognition to the school.
