Josephians Enter the Arena at Campus Legends 2025

SJI fielded Mobile Legends and Guardians of the City teams, with the Year 4 team reaching the Top-16 and Joel Tan placing 3rd in the solo event.
From 2-3 June 2025, our Josephians proudly represented the school at the Campus Legends Secondary School Esports Tournament, held at the Singapore Discovery Centre. This national-level event introduced students to the world of competitive gaming while promoting key values such as discipline, teamwork and resilience. In addition to the tournament, all participants attended a SHIELD cyber wellness workshop. This session equipped students with important knowledge about online safety, digital discipline, and responsible gaming.
Our students competed in two game titles, Mobile Legends and Guardians of the City II (GOTC), demonstrating strategic thinking, quick reflexes, and strong collaboration under pressure.
SJI sent two teams made up of skilled mobile game players from Years 1 to 4 to compete in the Mobile Legends team category. Our Year 4 team qualified for the Top-16 knock-out round of the tournament but was eventually knocked out by the tournament champions, West Spring Secondary School.
Congratulations to our student Joel Tan (LE401), who achieved 3rd Place in the Guardians of the City II solo tournament at Campus Legends Secondary School Season 9!
The experience offered our students a unique opportunity to explore esports as both a competitive platform and a character-building journey, and they walked away with new friendships, greater self-confidence and a deeper appreciation for team dynamics in the digital age.
