Josephians Celebrate 100 Medals in The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition 2024

Our Year 1 and 2 writers took SJI's tally to 100 medals in this global essay competition. Read how they did it.

Among the 34,000 entries for The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition 2024, our young Josephians from Years 1 and 2 continue to shine on the international stage by sharing their views on the theme, Our Common Wealth.

Our young writers wrote brilliantly on a number of global issues ranging from how they can contribute to a greener world to how community and culture can encourage resilience and hope for our future.

This achievement is only possible because of the belief of our teachers (Mr Azhar Ghazali, Mrs Janet Kwok, Ms Sangeetha, Mr Krison Tan, Mrs Denise Jeyaseelan, Ms Karen Alexander, Ms Valerie Koh and Ms Darrell Foo) in the students and their commitment to guide them in their writing journey.

Our medal tally this year stands at 100 with a spread of Gold Finalists, Gold, Silver and Bronze recipients.
