Josephians at the Swift Accelerator Programme

SJI is proud to celebrate the achievements of our students who have successfully completed the Swift Accelerator Programme — an intensive eight-month journey into the world of app development.

Organised under the national Swift initiative, the programme equips students with skills in Swift, Apple’s programming language used to build apps for iOS. Participants also collaborated in cross-school teams, identified real-world problems, refined their ideas through design reviews and persevered through countless rounds of testing and debugging.

Their dedication and hard work culminated in an impressive milestone: publishing fully functional apps on the Apple App Store.

The app allows users to draft speeches, record their delivery, and receive automated feedback — making practice smarter and more effective. Your personal speech coach, minus the scary judge face.

MyPlan transforms productivity into play. Featuring a planner, smart timetable, and reward system, the app helps students organise their time in a structured and motivating way. Overwhelming to-do lists become manageable steps — and maybe even a little fun.

We congratulate Carsten Yung, Chan Yap Long, Daniel Chung and Mohammed Hashim for representing SJI with excellence, creativity and resilience. The App Store now has a little bit of SJI inside it. Well done, boys!
