Josephians at the Singapore Mathematics Project Festival (SMPF) 2026

Five teams of Year 3 and Year 4 Josephians participated in the Singapore Mathematics Project Festival (SMPF) 2026 organised by the Singapore Mathematical Society (SMS).  After a few weeks of research, the students submitted one written report (up to 30 pages) and a video with 15-20 minutes of oral presentation.

SMPF celebrates creativity and innovation in Mathematics through project work, where ideas may be thoroughly explored and carried through. Projects were judged based on four key criteria: mathematical content, creativity and originality, applicability and relevance, and overall presentation. 

This year, Josephians performed well at the festival, winning 3 Bronze Prizes and 2 Honourable Mention awards with projects on diverse Mathematical concepts and their applications, demonstrating their dedication and passion for Mathematics and research.
