Josephians Recognised at Live On Festival 2026 Awards Ceremony

Four Josephians were recognised for their creativity and thoughtful perspectives on organ donation and transplantation at the Live On Festival (LOF) 2026 Awards Ceremony, held on Saturday, 29 August 2026.

Launched in 2018 as the Live On Design Competition, the initiative was renamed the Live On Festival in 2021 following the introduction of the Creative Essay Writing category. Since then, LOF has grown significantly, reaching 130 participating schools in 2025.

The festival encourages youths to express their thoughts and perspectives on organ donation and transplantation through art and creative writing. Through these creative platforms, participants explore themes of responsibility, compassion and empathy, while gaining a deeper understanding of the sensitive and emotive issues surrounding organ donation and transplantation.

This year’s competition attracted more than 5,700 participants, with over 2,400 entries in the Design category and more than 3,200 entries in the Essay Writing category, according to the organisers.

SJI was well represented, with four students receiving awards across the Design and Upper Secondary Essay Writing categories:

• Izac Lee Ze Xuan (LE401) – Fourth Place, Upper Secondary Essay Writing

• Lim En Zhuo Elliott (ML201) – High Distinction, Design

• Elliott Sin Valentin Troadec (MN202) – Merit, Design

• Isaac Ethan Koh Weiren (LE202) – Merit, Design

The achievements build on SJI’s strong showing at last year’s festival, where Josephian Yan Ke Yang (ML401) received a High Distinction Award.
