Josephian in National Poetry Recitation Competition

Jamie Michael Lam placed 1st Runner Up at the finals, held at the National Library and judged alongside poet Edwin Thumboo.
On 27 July 2025, the finals of the National Poetry Recitation Competition organised by Poetry Festival Singapore was held at the National Library.
Josephian Jamie Michael Lam (MN616) did SJI proud by attaining the position of 1st Runner Up. Jamie said: “Taking part in the National Poetry Recitation Competition was an incredibly meaningful and exciting experience. Through this competition, I learned how to bring a poem to life through voice, emotion and presence, and gained a deeper appreciation of the power of spoken word to move and connect people.”
