Ten Year 1 students visited FM98.7 radio station as part of the Academic Extension Discovery Module, getting a behind-the-scenes tour and airing their own one-minute segments nationally.
As part of the Academic Extension Discovery Module, 10 Year One students embarked on an exciting learning journey to the FM98.7 radio station!
This learning journey was an icing on the cake to the One Minute Gem Programme (OMG) where every Year 1 and 2 student presents a one minute speech in front of their peers, as part of the FPAM English Language Department’s vision to hone the students’ oral and presentation skills in front of a live audience.
These lucky 10 students were given a rare behind-the-scenes look at how a radio programme is run and were given their 1 minute of fame, when they took over the mic and eloquently presented their views on why SJI is a fantastic school and the topic of exam stress.
This was broadcasted nationally on FM98.7.
