Congratulations to our Josephian Silent Hero!

Noah Yang received the 2025 Silent Heroes Award for service including tutoring, fundraising, and leading a project for children with rare skin conditions.
We are proud to celebrate Noah Yang (MN618), who received the 2025 Silent Heroes Award, presented by Ms Jasmin Lau, Minister of State in the Ministry of Digital Development and Information, and the Ministry of Education on 5 July 2025. With Noah at the ceremony are the team from SJI: Mr Kelvin Seet (Dean, IB Academy) and Ms Pennie Ong (Head, Innomakers Programme).
This award recognises “ordinary humans showing extraordinary humanity,” celebrating those who serve quietly yet powerfully, inspiring a culture of kindness and generosity.
Guided by our Lasallian values of Faith, Service, and Community, Noah has consistently put others before himself. From empowering Primary 6 pupils through Speech Buddy! and raising funds for Children’s Wishing Well with Starstruck the Musical, to supporting migrant workers through Building Community Champions and leading PRISM’s fundraising efforts for the Migrant Workers’ Centre, he embodies the spirit of being a person for others.
He also devoted time to tutoring pupils at Anderson Primary through the Heartware Tuition Programme and spearheaded CONNECTION, a project supporting children with rare skin conditions — all acts reflecting his unwavering compassion and integrity.
Through these initiatives, Noah has touched countless lives and truly exemplifies the Lasallian spirit. We are incredibly proud of him and inspired by his example!
