Beacon's Splash for Impact

Splash for Impact, held on 25 September was a great success!

Splash for Impact, held on 25 September was a great success! Through washing cars and selling limited-edition SJI 175 merchandise — including microfibre cloths, sunshades and decals — the Beacon team raised an impressive $2,835 towards SJI’s 175th Anniversary fundraising efforts.
The success of the initiative was made possible by the generous support and strong community spirit of many across SJI.
Heartfelt appreciation goes out to all the School Leaders, staff and parents who registered for the car wash and purchased the SJI 175 merchandise. Their enthusiastic support contributed greatly to the success of the event.
A special word of thanks goes to the Beacon Teacher ICs, Mr Phang Wei Lian, Ms Lynette Lin and Mr Khoo Hock Heng, for their guidance, encouragement and mentorship throughout the project.
Finally, congratulations and thanks go to the Beacon Exco, who poured their hearts into the planning, logistics and operations behind the scenes, and to all the Beacon members who worked tirelessly washing cars and selling merchandise. Even the weather played its part, with cloudy, haze-free conditions allowing the car wash to run smoothly!
More than a fundraising event, Splash for Impact was a wonderful demonstration of service, teamwork and the strength of the Josephian community. It showed what can be achieved when Josephians come together for a shared purpose — making a splash, creating an impact, and playing their part in building SJI’s future as the school approaches its 175th Anniversary.
