A Passion for Science!

Three Year 5 Josephians met Nobel laureates at the International Science Youth Forum. Read what the five days involved.
The International Science Youth Forum 2024 (ISYF) took place from 8-12 January this year. It served as a platform for like-minded students from different schools across Singapore and across the globe to connect, learn and discuss ideas on the theme “Science and Technology for Humanity: Building a Sustainable Future”.
Over five days, Year 5 Josephians, Brayden Chang, Daniel Ho and Aaron Wong, embarked on various science activities that served to hone their collaborative and research skills in science. ISYF had also invited various Nobel Prize laureates to conduct Masterclasses for the participants, with the Keynote Speaker, Professor Duncan M Haldane who was co-awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2016.
For our Josephians, it was surreal to meet Nobel Prize laureates in person, and listen to them share their knowledge and passion for science. It inspired them to continue to pursue their interest in science research.
Other than furthering our passion for science, ISYF also allowed us to make connections with friends from abroad. It was indeed a memorable and enriching experience as they also forged new friendships with participants from overseas.
