Heats ran at Temasek Polytechnic Stadium on 25 April before finals at Bishan Stadium on 20 May, under the theme "Legacy in Every Stride, Future in Every Finish."
The 116th Annual Track and Field Championships stood as a testament to the enduring traditions of SJI. With the theme, "Legacy in Every Stride, Future in Every Finish," the event bridged the storied history of Josephians past with the vibrant energy of the current student body.
The championships were designed with three pillars of purpose:
Unity: To bring the entire school together, fortifying class spirit, fraternity bonds, and the overarching SJI school spirit.
Wellness: To promote active participation and a healthy lifestyle among both students and staff.
Character: To encourage a high standard of sportsmanship alongside the pursuit of sporting excellence.
The momentum began on 25th April 2026 at the Temasek Polytechnic Stadium, where the Heats took place. Athletes pushed their limits in the scorching sun, securing their spots in the finals and setting the stage for an intense inter-fraternal showdown.
On 20th May 2026, the SJI community congregated at Bishan Stadium. The atmosphere was electric, transformed by the sea of fraternity colours and the deafening cheers of supporters. It was a day filled with spirited competition and the warm camaraderie that is the hallmark of our school community. The event was more than just a series of races; it was a cohesive display of fraternity pride. From the explosive sprints to the gruelling long-distance events, every athlete carried the weight of their fraternity’s legacy.
The joy and energy vibrating through the stands served as a powerful reminder of the strength found in our "fraternity of brothers."
