Terms & Conditions

The terms and conditions of employment for teachers who are not Singaporeans or Permanent Residents are as follows:

• The salary offered is on a range from S$4,200 to S$9,200 per month or $50,400 to $110,400 per year.
• An additional allowance of between S$400 to S$2500 per month or S$5,200 to S$30,000 per year will be paid to responsibility post holders.
• A housing allowance of S$3,000 (single or married without children) or S$3,500 per month (married with children) is paid to teachers who are recruited from overseas.
• A 10% contract gratuity based on total income earned (including responsibility allowance but excluding housing allowance) is payable at the end of contract.
• Medical cover is provided for employees and their accompanying family members.
• A subsidy is provided for school fees for up to 3 children. The school fee subsidy will be 75% for the first and second child and 50% for the third child. The school fee subsidy is pegged at the school fees charged by SJI International at the point of entry into either SJI International or any other international school of the Appointee's choice.

• Initial contract will be for 3 years with the possibility of extending by 1 to 2 years based on mutual agreement.
