Overseas Residential Programme

In Year 4, the Overseas Residential Programme (ORP) is a culminating programme that will bring together various strands of learning in the earlier years for the students. Students will spend a sustained period of time of between 4 to 8 weeks at an overseas residential programme site such as Guiyang in China, living and learning together in an innovative holistic experiential programme that include the following three broad strands:

• Physical. An intense programme of outdoors adventure activities such as trekking, rock climbing, and white-water rafting;
   
• Intellectual. Academic learning with a strong focus on authentic projects based on experiential and inter-disciplinary learning and field studies.
   
• Socio-emotional. A strong focus on nurturing emotional intelligence and leadership, as well as cultural immersion and service programmes in which they will come to understand and to serve the local community where they are living.
