Vacancies for Experienced International Baccalaureate (IB) Teachers
St. Joseph’s Institution is a leading Singapore school that has commenced the IB Diploma programme (IBDP) in Jan 2013 with an intake of 80 students (both boys and girls). As part of our on-going efforts to offer a high quality IBDP in the spirit of the IB mission and vision, we are seeking qualified and experienced teachers to teach in the IB Diploma programme.
SJI has a long tradition of developing the character and interests of its students as an integral part of its education process and has always believed that there is no contradiction between examination success and strenuous involvement in extra curricular activities which include community service. We are delighted to adopt the IB Diploma as an examination system as it reflects this philosophy.
The appointees will play a key role in helping the school to refine some new pedagogical approaches and they will also introduce an even greater cultural diversity to the staff. It is hoped that some applicants will also have taught the IB though this is not a requirement.
We have been working closely with Andrew Bennett who has many years of experience in international schools and was Head of UWCSEA as well as SJI International, our sister school. If you have any specific queries he is willing to receive emails at andrew.bennett@sji-international.com.sg.
For Jan 2014, we are inviting applications for the following positions :
Head, IBDP Mathematics
Teacher, IBDP Economics
HR Manager
