Josephians are Persons of Integrity and Persons for Others; striving to grow in integrity (wholeness) to become men and women who make a positive difference to the lives of others. Josephians are:
- Driven by Passion and Strive for Meaning
Josephians are passionate about what they do as they know clearly what they believe and why they believe. They are not afraid to venture beyond the conventional paths to discover and develop their personal vocation, and to find meaning in life. They approach life and work with a sense of purpose and meaning.
- People-Centred and Principled
Josephians place people at the centre in their approach to life. They understand and accept themselves and others. They show compassion and respect towards the needs and feelings of others. They work effectively and willingly in collaboration with others. They are honest with themselves and with others; their thoughts, words and actions are integrated and consistent with their values, beliefs and principles.
- Reflective and Self-Directed Learners
Josephians continuously give consideration to their own learning and experience. They are able to assess and understand their strengths and limitations, and to proactively acquire the knowledge, skills and dispositions to support their independent learning and personal developement.
