The SJI DSA Scheme will admit students to Sec 1 in the following year based on their achievement in sports, music (for SJI Military Band) and chess.
SPORTS SELECTION
Sports Trials/Interviews Criteria
Applicants for the sports listed below will have priority for admission by DSA.
• Badminton
• Fencing
• Gymnastics
• Hockey
• Judo
• Rugby
• Squash
• Table Tennis
• Tennis
• Track and Field
• Sailing
Applicants who meet any one of the following criteria will be at an advantage.

Member of Top 4 Team in National Inter-school Championship |
| 2. |
Member of Top 2 Team in Zone Inter-school Championship. |
| 3. |
Quarter-Finalist in National Age-Group Individual Championship or a major Championship organized by the Singapore Primary Schools |
Trials and Interviews for the above sports will be conducted on Saturday, 17 July 2010 (9.00a.m). For Sailing, only interviews will be conducted.
SELECTION FOR THE SJI MILITARY BAND
Auditions and Interviews for the SJI Band will be held on Saturday, 17 July 2010 (9.00a.m).
Interested students will be required to prepare the following:
• Scales (up to 2 sharps and 2 flats)
• Chromatic scale (Concert Bb)
• A choice piece (approximately 1min)
• Sight-Reading
SELECTION FOR CHESS
Interviews will be held on Saturday, 17 July 2010 (9.00a.m).
APPLICATION
Application Forms for DSA can be collected from the school office (0900 – 1700hrs) or downloaded from the pdf below.
The completed Application Form (including photocopies of last two years school exam results and certificates of achievements) should be submitted in person with the required documents by Monday, 28 June 2010 so that a reference number could be assigned to the application. Please ensure that photocopies of the school exam results and certificates are endorsed by the appropriate authorities in the Primary School.
Please do not mail the completed Application Form (and documents) to the school.

Shortlisted applicants will be informed of date, time and venue of trials and/or interviews by the respective teachers-in-charge.
Note: We do not accept walk-in applications on trial day.
Results
Applicants will be informed of the results by 3 September 2010.
Please note that final selection will be based on the requirements of the school for the year.
