Josephian International Experience Programme

The JIEP programme brings students out of the classroom and beyond the school to enrich their learning experiences.  In tandem with the school’s Josephian Programme, JIEP aims to develop each boy according to his talent and interest, and prepare them for the real world.  It focuses on helping the students to 'learn how to learn' and 'learn how to live' by focusing on key life skills such as critical thinking, self-directed learning, communication and people skills.  The service learning project incorporated in some of the overseas trips (e.g. to Chennai and Manila) empowers the students to become men of integrity and men for others.

The key objectives of the programme are for the students to:

• Cultivate a global mindset
• Increase the sense of belonging to Singapore
• Understand the culture, history, politics, economics and society of the host country
• Gain direct experience of the way of life and education system of the host country
• Have opportunities to learn from and collaborate with partners overseas
• Research programme
• Forge friendships and bonds
