SJI is a part of the Lasallian family. As such, SJI is conscious of its mission to provide an education that develops the social and moral consciousness of Josephians so that they will be aware and sensitive to the needs of ‘the last, the lost and the least’ in an effort to make Singapore better.
The RME programme in SJI is an integral part of the curriculum for all students. It nurtures a culture of reflection in an inclusive faith environment. The key themes covered are personal morality and self, community, world religions, social justice and prayer.
Through the RME programme, Josephians are made aware of the last, the lost and the least - the marginalized section of society.

A method for examination of conscience. For non-Catholics, it is a method to reflect on their actions and consequences. The boys are taught to "observe, reflect and act". |
Project Scubilion
As part of RME programme, all secondary 3 boys, as part of service learning, participate in Project Scubilion where they spend 20 hours reaching out to "the last, the lost and the least". This experiential component of the RME programme allows our boys to put into practice all that they had learned in the RME programme.
