SJI invites teachers and administrators who are highly motivated and have the relevant expertise and experience to join the school. We welcome candidates to join us for the following positions:

1) Teaching Positions

The school is inviting applications for the following positions for both the Secondary and Senior Sections:
Secondary Section Senior Section (IBDP)
Chemistry
Chemistry
Physical Education (PE) English: Language and Literature / Literature 
Tamil Language
 and/or Literature and Performance

Applicants should be university graduates with at least honours degree in the relevant subject area and possess teacher training qualifications. Those intending to teach in the Senior Section should preferably have experience in the IB Diploma Programme or have experience teaching at Junior College level.

For some candidates there may also be opportunities for professional growth by teaching Theory of Knowledge.

Applicants should share the school’s mission of nurturing men and women of integrity and men and women for others. They have a strong passion for the development of the whole person. They should also possess an open and creative mind and be keen to try innovative approaches to learning and enjoy interacting with young people.

2) AV Technician

The key responsibilities of a AV Technician are:

a) to ensure the quality and functioning of the audio visual equipment: and
b) to support school events and activities.

He/She must be proficient in handling and operating with microphones, speakers, sound systems, recording devices, mixing boards, lighting, still cameras, video cameras, projectors and visualisers.

He/She is expected to operate these equipment and provide technical support during school events and activities.

He/She is also expected to work with external vendors on procurement and maintenance of these equipment.

Preferred number of years of experience: 2-3 years working in relevant field

Educational Qualification: Diploma holder with relevant qualification or other relevant professional qualification related to audio/visual production will be considered.
