Promotion Criteria for Students on Integrated Programme (IP) Track

To ensure academic rigour and in preparation for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), promotion for IP students is based on their academic performance at the foundational level (Level 1 Learning), as well as the number of Academic Units (AUs) they have obtained. AUs are awarded to students who participate in Level 2 and Level 3 learning programmes. Details of the promotion criteria can be accessed below :

Criteria for Transfer from 'O'-level Track to Integrated Programme (IP) Track

Each year, a limited number of places, as stipulated by MOE, will be available for O-Level track students to cross over to Secondary 3 on the IP track leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at JC level. Students who wish to transfer from the O-Level track to the IP track must meet several criteria, including their academic performance at the foundational level (Level 1 Learning), the number of Academic Units (AUs) they have obtained, the results of a General Ability Test (GAT) and an interview. It should be noted that transfer from the O-Level track to the IP track is on a competitive basis and meeting the criteria does not necessarily guarantee a place.
